Hi
ReplyDeleteMay be in wrong section but here goes....my mrs convertible burst a hydraulic pipe which is now fixed, but the guy who did it has buggered up the mechanism that opens the latches above the windscreen.
He used a battery drill inserted in the emergency hole and wound to far !! If I press the roof down button and all we get is a sort of clattering whirling sound and the roof refuses to unlock.
If I put the allen key in the hole undo it by hand it does release and then after a few more turns I can then continue to press button and roof opens as it should. Closing creates the issue in reverse, roof comes all the way to close but when it gets to closing that last few inches to windscreen we get the clattering whurling noise but roof does not move.
I can then close it manually with allen key.
Anyone any ideas what the issue is please?
Anyone have any idea how I get the plastic trim off that covers the release motor and all the mechanism that does the unlocking of the latches. All I can see is a load of spring clips but no idea what to do. Many thanks if anyone can help us.
Would love to get the roof moving again
